HIDA Sangyo Co., Ltd. (HIDA) will participate in the 2026 Hida Furniture Festival, taking place in the Hida Takayama region from Wednesday, June 17, to Sunday, June 21, 2026.

At the 'HIDA Takayama Shop: Forest and Living Editorial Office,' aligning with this year’s theme, 'Sustainability: Furniture that overlaps time with people,' HIDA will hold an exhibition rediscovering the appeal of its long-life items, such as 'Hotaka' (58 years old) and 'PROVINCIAL' (43 years old). Looking toward the future of long-life design, HIDA will also unveil new dining tables from the 'kei' collection, designed by Wataru Kumano using domestic timber, as well as a new contract bench designed by Motomi Kawakami, which utilizes compressed cedar wood.

At the festival's main venue, a touring exhibition of 'Universal Spaces Born from Careful Craftsmanship'—which won the 'ORGATEC TOKYO Awards Special Jury Prize' earlier this month—will be presented. Additionally, the festival will feature talk events, factory tours, and a special exhibition titled 'Forest Blessings: Craft and Hida Sake' at the Yubokukan HIDA GALLERY.
