Hilton announced that it has signed an agreement with Orix Real Estate to open 'Conrad Kobe' as part of the Kobe City Hall 2nd Building Redevelopment Project. Developed by a consortium led by Orix Real Estate, the hotel will be operated by Hilton and is targeted to open in 2030. This will be Hilton's first hotel in Hyogo Prefecture and the fifth Conrad brand hotel in Japan.
Conrad Kobe will occupy the 4th floor and the 20th to 28th floors of a high-rise complex to be built on the site of the redevelopment project. It will be directly connected to the Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae Subway Station, providing convenient access to major tourist spots such as the Former Foreign Settlement and Nankin-machi (Chinatown).
The hotel is planned to feature 136 guest rooms, including suites, as well as a range of dining facilities such as an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a cocktail bar. It will also include an executive lounge, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and a spa. Additionally, a ballroom of approximately 500 square meters and meeting spaces will be available to cater to international conferences and business events.
