Background of the Tie-up

'Houkago Engiha Club' is a vertical short drama account that delivers youth romance, friendship, and the extraordinary within everyday life under the theme of 'That time after school...?', featuring young actors and influencers. We have rolled out multiple series previously, garnering support from Gen Z social media viewers.

This time, we have realized our first tie-up with O.K.THANKS., a unit that captures the hearts of their generation with pop/rock sounds under the banner of 'Lifelong Youth'. By combining music and short drama, we will develop a new content experience that transcends traditional viewing.

Story

The setting is Shibuya. Ten schools bearing real Shibuya place names appear, such as Shibuya First High School, Hyakken Vocational High School, Fire Street High School Academy, and Okushibu Affiliated High School.

Rui, the protagonist, is not good at fighting but is straightforward and passionate. One day, he meets a transfer student, Rin, and his fate begins to change drastically. However, Rin has a past with Ryosuke, the leader of Hyakken Vocational High School, making a clash between Shibuya First High School and Hyakken Vocational High School inevitable.

A conflict staking pride, love, and friendship unfolds on Cat Street. This is a new sensation youth street drama packed with comical action, heart-throbbing moments, and memorable quotes, aimed at the social media generation.

Featured Cast

Playing the protagonist Rui is Rui Kurata, who has been gathering attention from his generation through his appearances in the ABEMA 'Kyou, Suki ni Narimashita.' series. He passionately portrays a clumsy but earnest protagonist who may be weak in fights but stands up again and again.

Playing the main heroine Rin is Koharu Kuroe, who is active as an actress and model, and gathers attention in various fields including as a female motorcycle enthusiast. As the starting point of the story, she plays a heroine combining strength and delicacy.

Furthermore, Yusuke Narasaki, the Grand Prix winner of 'High School Boy Mr. Contest 2025', participates as Yusuke, the attack squad leader of Shibuya First High School, and Ryosuke Sone, also known for his appearance in ABEMA's 'Kyou, Suki ni Narimashita.', acts as Ryosuke, the leader of Hyakken Vocational High School. The fresh and energetic cast accelerates the youth ensemble drama.
