Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. and the non-profit organization Pride House Tokyo have announced that their joint corporate project, "Pride Action30," has reached 106 partner companies in its third year, 2026. This project aims to celebrate diverse gender identities, including LGBTQ+, and promote respect and understanding during Pride Month by presenting "30 actions you can take right now" to the public. Over 100 companies, organizations, and academic institutions are collaborating across organizational boundaries to realize an inclusive society where everyone can work with peace of mind and be themselves.
In Japan, understanding of sexual minorities remains insufficient, and many LGBTQ+ individuals still face difficulties in their daily and professional lives. For corporate activities, creating an environment where diverse talent can feel psychologically safe and perform at their best is essential for sustainable growth. Addressing these challenges to create a society where everyone can work and live with peace of mind is a priority.
Through the "Pride Action30" project, the partners are advancing diversity in Japan by sharing actions via a special website and calendar, hosting events for partner companies, and strengthening internal awareness activities. Yukiko Yamaguchi, CMO of Panasonic Connect, stated, "When companies take the lead in expanding the circle of ALLYs, the chain reaction of actions will change society." Yuri Igarashi, Representative Director of Pride House Tokyo, emphasized, "The small steps taken by over 100 partners will lead to a society where everyone can live as themselves."
