Large-scale Mixed-Use Redevelopment Project 'Duo Hills Fukui Ekimae Minamidoori' Opens Mansion Gallery - 18-Story Building with 108 Units to be Developed

Hoosiers Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Eiichi Ogawa) held an exclusive preview and press conference today to commemorate the opening of the mansion gallery for 'Duo Hills Fukui Ekimae Minamidoori,' the residential block of the 'Fukui Ekimae Minamidoori District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project.'

The redevelopment project was initiated with the establishment of a redevelopment association in July 2022 as the 'Fukui Ekimae Minamidoori District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project,' aiming to enhance the appeal and create vibrancy in the Fukui Station South area, spurred by the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen.

While the Fukui Ekimae Minamidoori district is a crucial gateway to the southern part of the city center, it faced challenges such as aging buildings, an increase in vacant stores, and reduced walkability due to scattered surface parking lots. This project aims to resolve these issues and create an attractive urban space with new vibrancy.

Following the approval of the land readjustment plan in September 2024, demolition of existing buildings has been completed, and construction is currently underway for the redevelopment building, which will become a new landmark in the Fukui Station South area.

For the condominium portion of this integrated development, parking spaces for all units are planned to be secured in an adjacent self-propelled parking facility, aiming to balance the convenience of being near Fukui Station with a comfortable car lifestyle. The two types of units on the upper floors feature upgraded, high-grade amenities. Furthermore, various communal spaces such as a guest room, party room, and library have been prepared to enhance enjoyment with friends and family. The two-story entrance hall features Shakudani stone, a local specialty of Fukui, creating a welcoming space. Comfort as a residence has also been pursued with features like garbage disposal areas on each floor, an interior corridor design, and delivery boxes.

This integrated development aims to become a place of relaxation for citizens and foster a town where new culture is born in front of Fukui Station.
