Masachika Ichimura & Eri Watanabe Star in New Musical 'Secret Stage'; Poster Design by Legendary Illustrator Masamichi Oikawa Revealed

The new musical 'Secret Stage' will be presented as the inaugural production in the opening series of the Tokyo Tatemono Pia Theater, which is set to launch in September 2026. The poster design for the show, created by legendary illustrator Masamichi Oikawa—known for his long-running work on the covers of 'Pia' magazine—has been unveiled, alongside comments from stars Masachika Ichimura and Eri Watanabe. Tickets for the Tokyo run are currently on sale via HoriPro Stage.

Oikawa, whose unique pop-art style captured the essence of figures for 36 years, was inspired by the concept of the new theater and production, resulting in a vibrant visual.

The show will run in Tokyo at the Tokyo Tatemono Pia Theater from September 9 to 24, followed by tours in Osaka, Kagawa, Shizuoka, Miyagi, and Niigata. Tickets are priced at 12,500 yen for reserved seats, with additional discount options. This completely original musical marks the first collaboration between Ichimura and Watanabe, a project 50 years in the making. The cast also features stars such as Akinori Nakagawa, Yuka Kageyama, and Kyo Higashijima.
