As part of a year-round collaboration project between the Karuizawa Hoshino Area and the Shinano Railway, the "Gourmet Cruise: Summer Edition" will operate on August 2, 2026. This project is the second installment of the "Travel to Meet Shinshu's Craftsmanship" special series, a three-month continuous program featuring the "Rokumon" tourist train. The cruise traverses 149 km from Karuizawa to Myoko Kogen on the Niigata prefectural border, offering a luxurious morning breakfast menu curated from popular shops at Harunire Terrace.

Key Features

### 1. Gourmet Morning from Harunire Terrace A luxury breakfast featuring dishes from Harunire Terrace's popular shops will be delivered on board. Passengers can enjoy delicacies in a relay-style service, including CERCLE wine & deli's signature roast beef sandwiches, Izumiya Denbei's "Karuizawa Pudding: Silk Melt," and Maruyama Coffee's "Harunire Terrace Blend."

### 2. Special Dynamic Route The service operates on a special schedule extending beyond the normal range to Myoko Kogen Station on the Niigata prefectural border. Departing Karuizawa at 8:32 AM, the train travels through Nagano to Myoko Kogen, and back to Nagano, showcasing grand summer scenery transitioning from Mt. Asama to Mt. Myoko.

### 3. Continuous "Experiences" The journey proposes more than just transportation. A craftsperson will accompany passengers for a hands-on experience in the traditional "Shinshu Kumiko" craft, where wood is meticulously assembled without nails.
