Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Asahikawa, a "city-center" hotel that "gets you excited," will host a one-night-only "Special Talk Show" on Saturday, April 25, 2026, featuring Hiroshi Abe (hereinafter "Mr. Abe") and Yuichi Kimura (hereinafter "Mr. Kimura"), authors of "Arashi no Yoru ni" (Stormy Night). This event will offer a unique talk show experience, including a screening of "Arashi no Yoru ni," an original artwork exhibition, an autograph session with Mr. Abe and Mr. Kimura, and merchandise sales. The original artwork exhibition will run until Wednesday, May 6, 2026, allowing guests to view it even after the talk show concludes.

Background to the Event

Asahikawa City is a region whose major attractions include Asahiyama Zoo, famous for its "behavioral exhibits," and abundant nature that displays completely different expressions throughout spring, summer, autumn, and winter. With the desire for guests staying at OMO7 Asahikawa to also experience these charms, we have been holding the "Local Rhythm Night: A Tale of Moonlight and Animals," themed around "animals" and "the four seasons," since November 11, 2025. During this event, a video adaptation of the globally best-selling picture book "Arashi no Yoru ni" by Asahikawa-born picture book author Mr. Abe and Mr. Kimura is screened. To allow fans of the work, local residents, and hotel guests to delve deeper into the world of the story, we have planned a one-night-only special talk show inviting Mr. Abe and Mr. Kimura.

What is Local Rhythm Night?

Nights at city hotels often tend to be just for sleeping after dinner. However, OMO, with its concept of "a 'city-center' hotel that gets you excited," wants guests to enjoy a wonderful time from the moment they return to the hotel until they go to sleep. Therefore, since 2024, we have been holding the evening event "Local Rhythm Night." This name combines "Local" and "Rhythm," creating an event where guests can enjoy feeling the unique atmosphere of the city.
