Hotland West Japan, a subsidiary of Hotland Holdings (operator of Tsukiji Gindaco), will open the first 'Tokyo Aburagumi Sohonten Oitagumi' in Oita Prefecture on June 12, 2026. Located an 8-minute walk from JR Oita Station, it targets local workers and tourists. Established in 2008, Tokyo Aburagumi Sohonten operates 97 domestic and 3 overseas locations. Its specialty is oil noodles (Aburasoba) served with a secret sauce on freshly cooked custom noodles. The dish features 2/3 the calories and half the salt of standard ramen. Regular sizes, large, and double portions are priced identically: Aburasoba is 880 yen and Spicy Miso Aburasoba is 980 yen. Customers can customize dishes with toppings like Special Topping A (green onion, sesame, soft-boiled egg). A commemorative campaign on June 12-13 will offer special prices: 500 yen for Aburasoba and 600 yen for Spicy Miso Aburasoba for dine-in customers.
