The '308 Hunting Watch' announced by German watchmaker SINN (Sinn Spezialuhren) for Watches and Wonders, a watch exhibition held in Geneva, Switzerland from April 14, is a wristwatch that combines the precision of a mechanical watch with functions specially designed for the harsh light conditions and demanding usage encountered during hunting. At its core is a moonlight display located at 6 o'clock. This is a special mechanism that indicates when natural moonlight has reached sufficient brightness. In Germany, the use of artificial light sources for hunting is prohibited, so this mechanism provides reliable guidance in situations where only ambient natural light is permitted.

During the period known as 'Sauensonne,' when natural moonlight reaches sufficient brightness, night hunting for wild boars is permitted under the German Federal Hunting Law.
