ICEYE, which supports defense and disaster prevention with the world's largest small SAR satellite constellation, successfully deployed four new small SAR satellites into orbit on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, via SpaceX's rideshare mission "Transporter-17." The SAR satellites, integrated by Exolaunch, a global leader in small satellite separation systems and satellite integration services, were launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, USA, and have begun initial communication.

With the deployment of these new satellites, the total number of satellites launched by ICEYE since 2018 has reached 76. ICEYE is expanding its satellite manufacturing capabilities, aiming to increase production from the current rate of approximately 50 satellites per year to over 100 satellites per year from 2027 onwards, while also further improving launch frequency.

One of the four newly deployed satellites is the "Gen4," a fourth-generation small SAR satellite boasting a resolution of up to 16cm, which is among the highest in the world. "Gen4" expands the observation range to approximately 400km from the conventional 150km with high-resolution observation capabilities and increases the number of images that can be acquired during a single orbital pass, thereby enhancing the observation coverage and responsiveness in priority observation areas.

This launch also successfully deployed small SAR satellites for dedicated missions commissioned by various countries, including defense satellites supported by ICEYE US and the third satellite for the Finnish Defence Forces. These satellites will contribute to strengthening defense capabilities and advancing the space intelligence infrastructure of each nation.

ICEYE's small SAR satellite constellation is not subject to US export regulations (ITAR), allowing adopting countries to build and operate independent, sovereign space intelligence under their own control. In addition to satellite provision, ICEYE offers comprehensive solutions including ground station development, operational training, and continuous software updates, enabling deployment and operational start-up in as little as 12 months from contract. Most recently, ICEYE delivered the sovereign SAR satellite system "MikroSAR" for the Polish Armed Forces in less than a year from the contract. Based on these rapid deployment achievements, ICEYE aims to support swift and accurate decision-making related to national security and enhance the security capabilities and space intelligence infrastructure of countries in the Middle East and Asia, in addition to the seven European countries it has served to date.
