At the Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel (1-1-1 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture), the French restaurant 'Azure' will offer a special course titled 'Petit Trianon (Petit Trianon) – Souvenir of Marie Antoinette' from Saturday, August 1, 2026, to Monday, November 23, 2026 (a national holiday), themed around the world of the exhibition 'Marie Antoinette Style' held at the Yokohama Museum.
The 'Marie Antoinette Style' exhibition is an exhibition curated by London's Victoria & Albert Museum, centered on Marie Antoinette, the French queen whose fashionable style and lifestyle have captivated people throughout history.
The exhibition will display approximately 200 items, including jewelry and furniture once owned by her, precious dresses from the French monarchy era, and works by fashion houses and designers inspired by Marie Antoinette.
This exhibition will be held exclusively at the Yokohama Museum in Japan.
In collaboration with the 'Marie Antoinette Style' exhibition, our hotel will offer the special course 'Petit Trianon – Souvenir of Marie Antoinette' at 'Azure', the French restaurant on the 2nd floor. The course will be available from August 1, 2026 (Saturday) to November 23, 2026 (Monday, a national holiday), coinciding with the exhibition period. The menu features dishes associated with Marie Antoinette, including French and Austrian cuisine from her homeland that she reportedly enjoyed, as well as traditional dishes served in 18th-century royal courts.
'Azure', which offers this course, is an elegant French restaurant with a refined atmosphere reminiscent of a French noble residence, designed by Pierre Yves Rochon, a renowned Parisian designer.

The chefs at 'Azure' have drawn inspiration from Marie Antoinette’s dramatic life, crafting dishes that preserve the classical essence of authentic French cuisine while incorporating delicate refinements to create varied textures and flavors.
Toward the end of the course, desserts beloved by the queen will be served. Additionally, Imari porcelain—said to have enchanted Marie Antoinette and other nobles of the era—will be used for select dishes.
Pairing drinks to complement the dishes will also be available.

Brioche favored by Antoinette with Madame du Barry-style espuma
An opening dish inspired by 'the Queen’s Breakfast,' featuring a light mousse made from cauliflower—said to be favored by Madame du Barry, a favorite of Louis XV—layered atop brioche, reportedly beloved by the queen.
A cocktail of ocean delicacies and caviar, served with champagne jelly
Avocado marinated and paired with champagne jelly, adorned with scallops, tiger prawns, salmon, and caviar. A lavish cocktail-style appetizer worthy of an 18th-century palace banquet.
Poached fresh fish à la Pompadour
Named after Madame de Pompadour, who influenced Marie Antoinette, this dish was created by 18th-century royal chefs. Enjoy the contrast between the crisp skin and juicy flesh of the poached fish, beautifully arranged with vibrant vegetables.
Demi-deuil of Koshu free-range chicken with pomme mouseline, served with sauce forestière
On Imari porcelain plates, popular in royal courts of the era, the queen’s beloved 'garden' is recreated with colorful, artfully arranged vegetables. The demi-deuil (half-mourning) of free-range chicken, enhanced with black truffle for rich aroma, is served with two distinct sauces.
Broth soup with petit légumes and house-made 'vermicelli' pasta
Vermicelli and broth soup, reportedly often eaten by the queen, served with finely chopped vegetables like leeks. Served at the end of the meal, inspired by the anecdote that Marie Antoinette requested this dish the night before her execution.
Kugelhopf served with strawberry sorbet
For dessert, the traditional Viennese cake kugelhopf—deeply loved by Marie—is presented. A beautifully plated dish adorned with strawberry sorbet, dried strawberries, and jelly made from Riesling wine, which the queen is said to have popularized in high society.
Chocolate show with orange aroma, macarons de Nancy, and small madeleines
Chocolate, a luxury in the 18th century. The queen reportedly enjoyed a chocolate show flavored with orange blossom, prepared by her personal chocolatier. Savor it alongside macarons and madeleines, which Marie also enjoyed.
