The Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel will introduce a 'Dinosaur Area' with a dinosaur-themed menu at its first-floor restaurant, Ocean Terrace, from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, September 6, 2026. This will be part of the currently running 'Hawaii & Oceania' buffet.

This summer, dinosaurs are coming to Yokohama's Minato Mirai. Adjacent to the hotel, Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall will host the 'Yokohama Dinosaur Exhibition 2026: A Grand Encyclopedia of Dinosaur Diets' from July 17 to September 6. Additionally, the 'Minato Mirai Dinosaur Rally,' featuring stamp rallies and other dinosaur-themed events, will take place across the Minato Mirai area from July 17 to August 23.

During this period, as giant, realistic moving dinosaurs appear throughout the city, the hotel's buffet dining at Ocean Terrace will offer fun, dinosaur-related menu items. The Dinosaur Area, appearing in a corner of the 'Hawaii & Oceania' buffet, will feature five dinosaur-themed dishes enjoyable for both children and adults. The lineup includes exciting dishes such as meat sauce with dinosaur-shaped pasta like Stegosaurus and Triceratops, dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, an omurice designed to look like a Tyrannosaurus footprint topped with the hotel's special hayashi sauce, and an impressive Fried Chicken Bone & Potato Mountain. For dessert, enjoy special pastry cookies shaped like dinosaurs. They can be eaten as is or used as a topping for soft-serve ice cream and other sweets from the dessert corner for a photogenic original dessert. Separately ordered drinks include ice cream floats for children and cocktails for adults.
