Cocorogoto Cafe, operated by Idea Human Support Service Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Mariko Ukiyo, hereinafter "Idea Human Support Service"), announces a limited-time fair as self-care for the hot season.

Background and Purpose

July, about three months after the start of the new fiscal year, is a time when tension and fatigue from work and school tend to accumulate. Fatigue from adapting to new environments since April can easily surface, and many people experience increased mental and physical burdens due to overlapping end-of-year tasks and events before the summer break.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the summer of 2026 is expected to see "extreme heat days" around 40°C occurring in various regions, with the end of the rainy season being earlier and the peak of the heat lasting longer. Due to such climate change-induced heatwaves, high temperatures and humidity, and temperature differences with indoor environments, 80% of people experience discomfort without being ill, and interest in "weather-related illnesses (weather pain)" is growing. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare also calls for attention to the impact of stress on the mind and body, and the importance of self-care to regulate the mind and body in daily life. Time spent in nature or enjoying seasonal flowers and ingredients is said to lead to refreshment and stress relief. While it is gaining attention as an easily incorporated form of self-care in daily life, during the hot season, people tend to spend more time indoors, reducing opportunities to interact with nature and seasonal flowers.

Therefore, from July, Cocorogoto Cafe is creating a space where customers can spend a relaxing time while feeling the season, even indoors, by decorating the cafe with "morning glories," which represent Japanese summer. Additionally, we offer a limited-time menu tailored to the summer season, providing time to regulate both mind and body and restore energy for the next day.

Morning Glories and Healing Space Fair ~Listen to the Sound of Wind Chimes, My Own Summer Time~

Surrounded by colorful morning glories and the refreshing sound of wind chimes, it can be an opportunity to relax and refresh your mind. Furthermore, as a summer-limited menu available until the end of August, we are offering chilled borscht made with beets, which are highly nutritious and known as "edible blood transfusions," and tomatoes and vinegar, which are said to support fatigue recovery. It is a dish that utilizes the sourness and umami of vegetables, making it easy to eat even in the hot season. You can enjoy a moment that gently adjusts your mind and body while savoring summer with all five senses.

What is "Cocorogoto Cafe"?

Cocorogoto Cafe

With the concept of "A treat for the mind and body," it is a place where anyone can easily receive counseling and therapy as if having tea at a cafe, planned by the General Incorporated Association of National Psychological Association (Zenshinren). In February 2014, under the operation of Idea Human Support Service Co., Ltd., "Cocorogoto Cafe" with psychological counselors opened. Psychological counselors devised four-color food menus and "Cocoro Talk & Counseling" to energize the mind and body, and we received many orders from businessmen such as "An iced coffee and a 60-minute counseling session, please."

From May 2024, "Cocorogoto Cafe," a shop for fruit tea and art therapy, has newly reopened in Aoyama and has also become a place of employment for Ukrainian refugees. With flowers, carefully selected tableware, fruit teas that are gentle on the body and mind, and a menu focused on low-sugar options, it is used as a place where visitors can find peace of mind.

"Cocoro Talk," which applies art therapy, includes popular therapies such as "Talk with Miniatures," which applies sandplay therapy, a type of psychotherapy, and "Talk with Crayons," which applies art therapy.

From April 2026, qualified individuals from Zenshinren, an industry association for psychological counselors, will be stationed as "Worry Concierges" to listen to your concerns at any time.
