Launch of 'Worldview Picture Book Project' for Children Facing Life Challenges: Publication of 'The Day Yorimichi Was Born'

Impress Corporation, part of the Impress Group, has announced the publication of 'The Day Yorimichi Was Born: To You Who Didn't Know How to Protect Your Heart' (Author: Yorimichi) via Impress NextPublishing. To commemorate the release, a special event featuring a screening, an editor talk session, and an autograph session will be held in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on Saturday, May 30.

The story follows a child who does not know how to protect their heart. They wander into a mysterious 'world of costumes,' where they learn how to manage their emotions. The author, Yorimichi, is an individual with developmental disabilities who has experienced school non-attendance and social withdrawal, and now works as a picture book author and speaker.

The e-book version is priced at 1,400 yen, and the print version is 1,750 yen. The commemorative event on May 30 will include a screening of the picture book, a talk session with the editor, and an autograph session. Tickets are available via Peatix.
