<Survey Summary>
・100% of respondents reported a decrease in full-remote projects, while 82.1% reported an increase in fully on-site projects—clear polarization in work styles.
・81.3% of respondents feel that the total number of projects has decreased.
All respondents reported a decrease in full-remote projects, while over 80% reported an increase in fully on-site projects—indicating a clear polarization in work arrangements.
First, regarding the total number of projects across the market, 81.3% of respondents reported a decrease ('slightly decreasing' 62.5% + 'significantly decreasing' 18.8%). No respondents answered 'slightly increasing,' meaning four out of five SES sales professionals feel the market is shrinking.
Furthermore, when examining remote and fully on-site projects separately, the trends in project volume were completely opposite.
For full-remote projects, 49.1% answered 'slightly decreasing' and 50.9% 'significantly decreasing,' resulting in 100% of respondents feeling a decline in project volume. There were zero responses indicating 'increasing' or 'unchanged'.
In contrast, for fully on-site projects, 31.3% answered 'significantly increasing' and 50.9% 'slightly increasing,' totaling 82.1% who felt an increase. There were no responses indicating a decrease.
The decline in remote-based projects and the rise in on-site-based projects suggest that client companies are increasingly demanding on-site work from engineers.
