IR Robotics Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Sung-joo Kim, HP: https://ir-robotics.co.jp/) held its monthly Next IPO Club meeting for June on June 18 (Thu). Next IPO Club is a membership community operated by our company for companies that are serious about achieving an IPO.

For the June meeting, we were honored to have Mr. Masaru Akiyama, Representative Director of Basic Inc. (TSE GRT519A), a graduate of our program and the 39th company to achieve an IPO, who successfully listed on the Growth Market in March 2026.

Mr. Akiyama, who founded the company in 2004 and has experienced two IPO attempts, shared "raw behind-the-scenes stories and real experiences" that are never told in open forums, covering decisions to postpone listing, organizational reconstruction, changes in lead underwriters just before listing, and the reality of capital policy.

- Why We Hold the "Next IPO Club Monthly Meeting"

The IPO industry is remarkably opaque, and "urban legends" of unknown origin, such as "I heard that..." or "I've heard about...", are rampant, causing confusion for companies preparing for an IPO.

Our club is committed to pursuing "the latest real-world examples" and "unbiased primary information."

We hold the Next IPO Club monthly meetings to resolve the opacity and urban legends surrounding IPOs and to help member companies achieve a sound IPO by disseminating factual information based solely on "first-hand accounts" from presidents of listed companies who have achieved IPOs within the last two years, or executives deeply involved in IPO preparations.

Since its inception in July 2017, our club has seen 39 companies list on the general market and 5 companies list on the TOKYO PRO Market.

- June Next IPO Club Monthly Meeting Overview

In the June monthly meeting, Mr. Masaru Akiyama, Representative Director of Basic Inc. (TSE GRT519A), was our featured speaker.

Basic Inc. operates a SaaS business as an "AI workflow company" that automates front-office operations and successfully listed on the TSE Growth Market in March of this year.

Representative Director Akiyama founded the company after a unique career path that included being a professional pachinko player and then an office worker.

He has demonstrated dynamic management skills, including experiencing 12 business divestitures and concentrating his once diversified businesses into a single SaaS focus.

This seminar delved into the trajectory of Basic Inc.'s IPO journey, which faced numerous hurdles since the full-scale IPO preparations began in 2015, and the "real struggles and decisions" that occurred behind the scenes.

In our completely closed-door sessions, case studies from IPO preparation periods were shared.

Specific measures for improving management efficiency and productivity through business concentration

Change of lead underwriter just before listing and the background of that decision-making process

"XX" word指摘 by TSE review and the use of XXXX in IPO practice

Optimization of capital policy and shareholder composition, and negotiation processes with VCs

- Scenes from the Day

Scenes from the Next IPO Club June Monthly Meeting

The greatest value of this seminar lies not in providing "textbook answers for IPO preparation," but in sharing the "real management decision-making processes" of how challenges such as "rapid changes in market environment, internal organizational turmoil, and unexpected指摘 from regulatory authorities" were faced.

Particularly impressive was the comparison based on actual experiences of two challenges in 2018 and 2026, rather than "hindsight analysis," and the decision to "prioritize listing over price" in the face of unpredictable external environmental changes.

These served as a valuable opportunity for companies aiming for an IPO to reconfirm "what is truly important," embodying the core values of Next IPO Club: "fact-based," "primary information," and "dispelling urban legends."
