Iris Ohyama Inc. (Headquarters: Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Akihiro Oyama) will launch a maintenance service for commercial auto-feed shredders from July 1, 2026. The target product is the "A3 Auto-Feed Shredder," which will go on sale on June 10, 2026, and the service area will be major cities nationwide (*1).

In recent years, while companies have been digitizing documents, the market for commercial shredders has remained steady from the perspective of personal information protection and compliance. Among these, auto-feed shredders, which can automatically shred large volumes of paper at once, are in high demand for operational efficiency and labor savings. However, there is a challenge that long-term maintenance systems are not sufficiently established.

Therefore, the company will launch a maintenance service for the newly released "A3 Auto-Feed Shredder," offering two options: a "Maintenance Plan" and a "Subscription Plan." This service aims to prevent product malfunctions through regular maintenance by specialized staff and provides continuous support by offering repair services (*2) in case of issues.

The "Maintenance Plan" includes annual regular maintenance such as checking the product's condition, cleaning the cutting blades, and inspecting and replacing consumable parts. On-site repairs will be conducted if a malfunction occurs. Additionally, a pick-up repair service (*3) is available for a fee. The "Subscription Plan" includes annual regular maintenance, plus all support from product introduction to maintenance and repair, with lower initial costs, and also covers repairs including mechanical parts. Both plans have a contract period of 5 years, allowing users to use the product with continuous support.

The target product, the "A3 Auto-Feed Shredder," can automatically shred up to 350 sheets and is equipped with a 100-liter dust bin, reducing the frequency and burden of emptying trash. It also features a PIN lock function to prevent information leaks and an indicator lamp to check the operating status from a distance, making it suitable for office environments.

The company will continue to develop products closely related to consumers' lives and contribute to realizing a comfortable lifestyle.
