istyle to Host First Asia-Wide Award "ASIA BEAUTYTECH AWARDS 2026" to Recognize Beauty Tech Innovation in Asia

istyle Inc. (President and CEO: Soichiro Endo) will host the "ASIA BEAUTYTECH AWARDS 2026" to recognize leading companies and projects in innovation within the beauty sector across Asia. Applications will open on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, with the awards ceremony to be held on Thursday, November 19, 2026, during TOKYO BEAUTY WEEK 2026, following selection by a judging committee.

Background of the Event

The definition of beauty is expanding significantly due to technological advancements and the integration with medicine, wellness, and fashion. In particular, the concept of "longevity," which focuses on extending healthy lifespans while maintaining physical and mental well-being and individuality, is gaining attention. istyle has been hosting the "Japan BeautyTech Awards" since 2019 under the theme of "Innovation that Makes People Happy." Over the past six years, these awards have highlighted cutting-edge initiatives in Japan's beauty tech field, with a total of 24 companies, from large corporations to startups, receiving accolades.

In January 2025, marking the 5th anniversary, a reception event was held at TiB (Tokyo Innovation Base) where past award winners gathered, receiving positive feedback.

In 2026, this award will expand its reach to East Asia, accepting applications from companies and projects operating in markets in Japan, South Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. As the first Asia-wide award, the "ASIA BEAUTYTECH AWARDS 2026 (ABTA)" will select "Innovations that Make People Happy" in beauty and related fields.

Award Overview

◼️ What is ASIA BEAUTYTECH AWARDS 2026? This award recognizes companies and projects that offer "products," "services," "technologies," or "projects" in the beauty field (including related areas such as healthcare and fashion) or those with potential future integration with the beauty field, operating in Japan, South Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. The judging committee will comprehensively determine and honor companies and projects that are particularly outstanding in "Innovations that Make People Happy."

◼️ Application Tracks Applicant companies will be automatically assigned to one of the tracks based on their establishment year, whether they are part of a corporate group, and their annual sales volume.

◼️ Award Categories and Prize Money

In addition to the above, there will be Innovation Regional Awards (one each for Japan, South Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, up to five companies), a Jury Award, and an Audience Award.

Recipients will receive benefits such as prize money, an award trophy, permission to use the award icon, press release distribution to various Asian regions, an interview article on the beauty industry media BeautyTech.jp (for Grand Prix and Runner-up winners), and networking opportunities with VCs and major beauty companies.
