Iwaki FC is pleased to announce that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Eintracht Frankfurt. This partnership aims to expand international presence and develop young players, and officially took effect in May 2026.
The partnership between Eintracht Frankfurt and Iwaki FC covers a wide range of key areas. Specifically, these include intensive sporting exchange, joint approaches in scouting and player development, and comprehensive themes for the further development of club organizations.
"This partnership is a big step for our club. We are proud to be able to partner with Eintracht Frankfurt, a prestigious Bundesliga club. Our players and coaches will benefit greatly from this collaboration, not only competitively but also personally. At the same time, we believe this is a great opportunity for exchange between two cultures that love football," said Satoshi Okura, Representative Director of Iwaki FC.
Eintracht Frankfurt also views this partnership positively. "We are very pleased to be able to conclude a partnership with Iwaki FC that brings new possibilities to both clubs. Through this initiative, we aim to identify talented young players from Japan and across Asia at an early stage, and to share our sporting and organizational expertise with Iwaki FC, a dynamic and innovative club," said Markus Krösche, Sports Director of Eintracht Frankfurt.
This new partnership will further strengthen Eintracht Frankfurt's activities in Japan. The long-standing partnership with Urawa Red Diamonds will continue to be an important pillar of Eintracht Frankfurt's international strategy, while the partnership with Iwaki FC will serve as a complementary new pillar in the club's regional network strategy.
At the same time, the club aims to make a sustainable contribution to the further development of Japan-Germany relations.
