Ixius Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takashi Naito), which provides the AI-powered information dissemination and analysis platform "STOREPAD," conducted a survey report on dining out awareness for its [2026 Edition]. The survey targeted 3,000 individuals aged 21-59 residing in Tokyo and the three surrounding prefectures.

The results of this survey indicate that Google Maps is evolving beyond a mere tool for finding locations, becoming an important source of information that assists in comparison and decision-making before visiting a restaurant, and even in deciding menu items after arrival. This report summarizes the latest trends among consumers to aid restaurant businesses in building their "reasons to be chosen."

Background of Publication: Solving Opportunity Loss in Customer Acquisition Due to Misaligned Information Dissemination

Online information is indispensable for consumers when choosing a restaurant. However, disseminating information tailored to the diverse purposes of users and maintaining accurate updates across multiple media platforms places a significant burden on restaurant operators. Ixius has published this awareness survey report, based on a questionnaire of 3,000 people, to support the understanding of increasingly complex restaurant customer acquisition and to enable restaurant operators to build optimal customer acquisition strategies.
