Izumi Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of the development project for "(Tentative Name) Yume Town Shikokuchuo" (hereinafter "this facility") in Shikokuchuo City, Ehime Prefecture, as part of its efforts to "evolve its GMS business," one of its basic strategies.

Our company operates three GMS "Yume Town" stores in Kagawa Prefecture, Shikoku, and one in Tokushima Prefecture. This new store will be the first "Yume Town" in Ehime Prefecture and the fifth in Shikoku. In addition, our company operates five stores of Daily Mart Co., Ltd., a group company headquartered in Tokushima Prefecture, and has formed a capital and business alliance with Maruyoshi Center Co., Ltd., headquartered in Kagawa Prefecture, since 2019. We have always been favored by customers in Shikoku.

This time, we have been given the opportunity to open a store in Shikokuchuo City. Based on the revitalization methods our company has implemented to strengthen its GMS business, we will launch this as a "GMS regeneration project" involving a large-scale renovation with a change in commercial facility operator. By incorporating the elements of large-scale renovation and town development that we have accumulated, we will develop a new community-oriented GMS with "food, living, and community" as keywords. We plan to have approximately 40 specialty stores, including some making their first appearance in the region, aiming to create a commercial facility where customers can enjoy shopping even more. Furthermore, regarding recruitment, we plan to hire many new employees while creating an environment where local residents can work with peace of mind.
