Bel Amer Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store Reopens June 6, 2026

Chocolate specialty store 'Bel Amer Nihombashi Mitsukoshi' will hold its grand reopening on June 6, 2026 (Saturday). As a brand proposing 'Japanese Chocolate,' it has been developing delicate chocolates that harmonize with Japan's distinct seasons and climate.

Since its founding in 2003, Bel Amer—the name of which means 'beautiful bitterness' in French—has pursued chocolate-making that maximizes the character of its ingredients. The products, each carefully crafted by chocolatiers in a specialized lab, are a crystallization of delicate techniques reminiscent of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

To celebrate the reopening, the Nihombashi Mitsukoshi store will offer special limited-edition products. The lineup will include assortments featuring the department store's symbolic 'Hana Hiraku' wrapping paper design and its famous 'Lion' statue. Additionally, the 'Petit Chocolat Flan,' freshly baked daily at the atelier and shipped to the store, will be a standout feature.
