The Fukui Prefecture Tourism Federation (Chairman: Shinji Yoshida), the Gifu Prefecture Tourism Federation (Chairman: Shinzo Kasai), the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) Fukui Branch (Branch Manager: Shintaro Ukita), and the JAF Gifu Branch (Branch Manager: Motozane Kato) have jointly planned their first-ever drive stamp rally to promote exchange between Fukui and Gifu, where access is continuously improving.
Following the opening of the Kanmuriyama Pass Road (Crown Road) in the fall of 2023, and with the full opening of the Chubu-Jukan Expressway within Fukui Prefecture scheduled for the spring of 2029, access between the two prefectures has been improving in recent years. Amid expectations for further expansion of the exchange population due to these developments, this drive stamp rally aims to allow participants to enjoy a unique Fukui-Gifu driving experience while discovering the charms of regions they may not have known before, by setting up tourist attractions as spots for their travel destinations.
To further revitalize exchange between Fukui and Gifu Prefectures, the four organizations will accelerate their activities starting with this campaign.
