JAIC, which operates corporate training and youth employment support services, announced that it will resume in-person group interviews for its 'Employment College®' service—designed for part-timers, recent graduates, and those seeking a second career—at its Tokyo venue in June 2026, marking the first time in six years since shifting to online formats due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To accommodate job seekers living in regional areas and diverse job-seeking styles, the company will continue its online sessions and strengthen a hybrid support system that combines both in-person and online formats.

Background of Resuming In-Person Interviews

With the rise of AI usage and online screening, there is an increasing demand to 'convey personality directly.'

Web interviews, which became widespread during the pandemic, have now become a standard recruitment method. However, both job seekers and companies have noted that certain aspects like personality, values, and work attitude are difficult to convey solely through documents or online interactions.

In response to these challenges, the company piloted in-person sessions in the Osaka and Fukuoka areas. As a result, both sides praised the format for allowing them to 'confirm personality and motivation that are hard to grasp online.' Consequently, the company decided to officially resume in-person sessions in Tokyo.
