Past Regional Collaboration Goods at JUNGLIA OKINAWA
JUNGLIA OKINAWA's shop offers approximately 600 items, with over 90% being original. Among the popular items are those featuring designs inspired by Bingata, a traditional Okinawan dyeing technique. Bingata, a traditional dyeing technique dating back to the Ryukyu Kingdom era, is characterized by its vibrant colors and motifs reminiscent of the tropics. By combining Bingata with new motifs like dinosaurs, a unique artwork has been created, merging the traditional techniques of the Ryukyu Kingdom with the fun of a theme park.
"Better with everyone's voice. Towards the next JUNGLIA with the people of Okinawa."
JUNGLIA OKINAWA's first anniversary is being created together with local Okinawa.
As it approaches its first anniversary, JUNGLIA OKINAWA is evolving to become a park more deeply rooted in Okinawa, listening to the voices of its guests and continuously announcing various programs filled with surprise and wonder.
Gorii from the popular Okinawan talent duo Garage Sale has been appointed "Gorii Cheerleader." He will act as a crucial partner in enhancing the park, looking at and listening to the park from the perspective of guests and local residents, asking questions like whether heat countermeasures are sufficient, if it's comfortable for families with children, and if the experience is authentically Okinawan. He will provide feedback without hesitation, ensuring the park improves.
This summer, new experiences that will stimulate guests' curiosity will be introduced one after another within the park. Furthermore, collaborations with local artists and co-creation with the region are being announced, offering various programs that allow visitors to feel the Okinawan spirit more deeply. Please look forward to them.
