Plug and Play Japan Enters Partnership with ai&

Plug and Play Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the world's largest accelerator and venture capital firm, Plug and Play, has announced a partnership with ai&, a vertically integrated global AI technology company, within its 'AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE)' dedicated to promoting AI transformation (AX) for Japanese companies. Plug and Play established the AI CoE in Japan—its first outside the U.S.—to provide end-to-end support for Japanese companies, from strategy formulation to implementation. ai& has launched its operations as a Japan-based AI company, securing approximately 7.5 billion JPY in seed funding and approximately 300 billion JPY in infrastructure construction capital. The two companies will collaborate on three main pillars: providing large-scale computing resources, offering a co-creation environment through a global platform, and establishing AI utilization models optimized for Japanese industries. This partnership aims to create an environment where all players, from large corporations to startups, can engage in advanced AI development and utilization, contributing to the creation of innovation from Japan.
