Akashi Kaikyo Bridge Summit Experience 'Bridge World' October–November Sessions Now Open for Registration [Starting July 1 (Wed)]

The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, one of the world's largest suspension bridges. Registration for the summit experience tour "Akashi Kaikyo Bridge Summit Experience Bridge World," which allows visitors to enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view from approximately 300 meters above sea level, will open on July 1 (Wednesday) at 10:00 AM for sessions in October and November.

This special tour offers access to normally restricted areas such as the maintenance walkway and the bridge tower, guided by experts involved in the bridge’s construction. Experience cutting-edge bridge technology and gain unique insights and inspiration in an extraordinary setting.

1. Tour Schedule

Selected dates between April–November and March 2027, as designated by the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge Summit Experience Bridge World office.

Two sessions per day (morning and afternoon):

[Morning Session] Check-in: 9:00–9:10 AM, End: 11:50 AM

[Afternoon Session] Check-in: 1:15–1:25 PM, End: 4:05 PM

Preparation, including helmet fitting, will begin in order of check-in completion.

2. Registration Opening Date and Time

[October–November Sessions] Open for registration from 10:00 AM on July 1 (Wednesday)

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis via the "Registration Page."

Phone or other forms of registration are not available. Please understand in advance.

Registration for March 2027 sessions is scheduled as follows:

Tour Route:

① Bridge Science Museum (meeting and check-in) → tour briefing → museum visit → via Maiko Marine Promenade →

② Akashi Kaikyo Bridge maintenance walkway → ③ Akashi Kaikyo Bridge main tower (2P) → return via maintenance walkway → Maiko Marine Promenade →

5. Participation Requirements

① Must be 12 years or older (must be at least 12 on the day of the tour). Children aged 12–15 must be accompanied by an adult.

② Must be able to walk over 2 km unassisted and climb stairs.

③ Must not suffer from acrophobia or claustrophobia.

④ Must not be under the influence of alcohol.

* Alcohol testing may be conducted if necessary.

Participants who test positive for alcohol will not be allowed to join.

* Must agree to follow all safety and operational guidelines.

⑤ Must agree to the terms stated in the participation pledge form.

* Parental consent is required for minors (under 18 years).

6. Group Size

Each session: 48 participants (minimum required: 12)

* If fewer than 12 participants are registered by 7 days before the event, the tour will be canceled.

(In case of cancellation, the group representative will be notified in advance via the reservation system.)
