Courtesy Visit to Chichibu Mayor Ahead of "Chichibu BMX International 2026" in September

On June 26 (Fri), Koji Watanabe, Representative Director of the All Japan BMX Federation (JBMXF), paid a courtesy visit to Kazuhiko Seino, Mayor of Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, the host city for the "Chichibu BMX International 2026" to be held from September 4 (Fri) to 6 (Sun), 2026.

This will be the first international BMX racing competition held in Japan in seven years, since the Osaka International in 2019. An international competition was planned to be held in Chichibu City in 2020, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, making this event a realization after a full six years.

Mayor Kazuhiko Seino stated, "We are greatly honored that Chichibu City will be the host of an international competition for the first time in seven years. We believe the hosting of this event will foster enthusiasm for BMX racing not only in the host area of Otaki but throughout Chichibu City, and we will cooperate to make the event a success."

Chichibu City's "Chichibu Takizawa Cycle Park" is the only BMX track in Japan equipped with an 8-meter start hill, and high-level races are expected from domestic and international athletes.

The All Japan BMX Federation will work closely with Chichibu City to make thorough preparations for the success of the event.
