The Japanese Consumers' Co-operative Union (JCCU, Chairperson: Chitose Arai) has compiled and reported the preliminary sales figures for 64 major regional co-ops across Japan for April 2026.

Monthly Highlights - The total sales for April exceeded the previous year at 100.5%. - Retail stores saw both customer counts and average transaction values surpass the previous year, reaching 101.2%. By category, fishery products, livestock, prepared foods (sozai), daily delivered goods, processed foods/confectionery, and sundries exceeded previous year levels. Conversely, rice saw a decline in revenue due to a reaction from last year's growth. - Home delivery services maintained 100.0% of the previous year's level; while the number of users did not reach the previous year, the average transaction value increased.
