The 2nd 'Everyone's Favorite Read-Aloud Picture Book Awards' Announced; Entries Open June 1st

The Japanese Consumers' Co-operative Union (JCCU), Co-op Sapporo, the Japan Co-op Insurance Consumers' Co-operative Union, Nippon Shuppan Hanbai (Nippan), and EhonNavi are jointly hosting the 2nd 'Everyone's Favorite Read-Aloud Picture Book Awards.' Starting June 1st, they are accepting entries from childcare facilities for the 'Nursery School and Teacher' category. The award aims to promote the joy of reading aloud. In the nursery category, 20 books will be sent to participating facilities nationwide, where teachers will read them to children and vote for the winner. The second edition aims to expand to 4,000 facilities. An award ceremony is scheduled for October 2027.
