Satonoka 4K/TV will broadcast the "19th Calligraphy Performance Koshien" live starting at 8:45 AM on Sunday, August 2. This national competition for high school calligraphy performance is held in Shikokuchuo City, Ehime Prefecture, known as Japan's number one paper town. Participating students perform to music, creating artworks on paper measuring 4 meters by 6 meters within a limited time of 6 minutes. The program will deliver the performance, infused with their passion in every stroke, and the process leading to completion in real-time.

Prior to the live broadcast, a digest of the "1st Calligraphy Performance Intercollegiate," held on Sunday, March 8, will be aired at 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 18. The "Calligraphy Performance Intercollegiate" focuses on university students, showcasing powerful performances distinct from those of high school students.

The "Calligraphy Performance Intercollegiate" was hosted by announcer Mayu Sato of Television-U Yamagata (TUY). Announcer Sato has experience competing in the "Calligraphy Performance Koshien" during high school, and her involvement in this tournament is rooted in that experience. She commented: "The entire venue was filled with the fervor of a 'moment when a new history begins,' unique to the first-ever tournament. When I was in my second year of high school, I stood on this stage in Shikokuchuo City and was interviewed, which led me to dream of becoming an announcer. I am moved beyond words to have fulfilled that dream and returned here as the host."
