Delivering 18 Years of "Thank You" to GORI: Registration Opens for Fans and Companies for "Thanks Nobori" Commemorating Kunihiro Shimizu's Retirement

(Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akihiko Ishikawa; hereinafter "jeki"), has begun accepting applications for "Thanks Nobori" (thank you banners) for fans and companies to express their gratitude, in anticipation of the "Kunihiro Shimizu Retirement Match GORI LAST MATCH Supported by Keihan" to be held on August 8, 2026 (Sat) at Panasonic Arena.

This is a new participatory cheering project that allows fans and companies to physically shape their "thank you" messages for Kunihiro Shimizu, who has led the Japanese volleyball world for 18 seasons, at his retirement commemorative match.

On the day of the event, cheering banners with messages will be displayed at Panasonic Arena, and after the event, they will be delivered to all participants and companies with Kunihiro Shimizu's autograph.

Three Features of the Project:

1 First-Ever Fan-Participatory "Thanks Nobori" Project in Volleyball

Panasonic Arena will be adorned with "Thanks Nobori" featuring messages filled with sentiment. Those who can attend the event on the day can have the special experience of finding "their own banner." For those who cannot attend, this is a reliable way to convey their feelings to Shimizu.

2 Two Ways to Enjoy: 7 Template Designs + Original Design

In addition to 7 template designs, we also offer an "Original Design" plan where you can create your own banner using photos and illustrations you've taken. You can express your gratitude for 18 years with your own unique banner.

In addition to plans for individual fans, we offer two plans for companies. These are available for partner companies who have long supported Shimizu, as well as for all companies wishing to express their gratitude.

4 All Participants Receive a "Nobori with Autograph"

After the display period, all participants and companies will receive a nobori with Kunihiro Shimizu's autograph mailed to them. This will serve as a lifelong memento, a testament to your "thank you." The nobori delivered will be the same large size (H:1,800mm × W:600mm) as displayed.

Project Overview

Banners with messages and nicknames for Shimizu, or original design banners, will be displayed at Panasonic Arena on August 8, 2026 (Sat). After the display, they will be sent to you with Kunihiro Shimizu's autograph. For companies, corporate plans including your company name/logo are also available.
