1. Major Achievements During This Project Period
1 Experience Events Held in Major Cities Nationwide
We held experience events in various locations across Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sabae, allowing many customers to try SABERA firsthand. At these events, participants experienced key features such as its lightweight design of approximately 40g, natural fit, and real-time translation. We also received valuable feedback from many individual and corporate customers, which we have incorporated into product improvements and feature development for general sales.
Furthermore, we began permanent displays at locations like Nojima's "MIRAI ROBO SQUARE," working to create an environment where products can be experienced continuously.
2 Promotion of Partnerships
We initiated a joint demonstration with Palabra Inc. to support theater-going for individuals with hearing impairments and launched a strategic partnership with Kotoba Technologies Inc. in the field of real-time translation. Through these initiatives, we are further developing the concept of "smart glasses (AR glasses) for everyday use" and promoting its application in a wide range of scenarios, including theater support, international business negotiations, inbound tourism support, and manufacturing sites. We are working to evolve SABERA from a mere AR device into an everyday utility device that supports communication and information acquisition.
3 Expanded Compatibility with Prescription Lenses
In response to numerous customer requests received during the crowdfunding period, we have expanded the range of myopia and astigmatism correction and introduced compatibility with progressive lenses, while also establishing a cooperative system with officially partnered eyewear specialty stores.
We have confirmed a high demand for smart glasses intended for daily use, with many purchasers requesting prescription lenses. We are working to create an environment where a wider range of people can use SABERA, realizing the concept of "smart glasses (AR glasses) for everyday use."
4 Support from All 47 Prefectures and a Wide Range of Generations
Purchasers in this project spanned all 47 prefectures of Japan, with customers from a wide range of age groups, primarily from their 30s to 60s.
Approximately 30% of customers requested prescription lenses, indicating that SABERA was accepted not just as a "gadget" but as everyday eyewear. This result supports the concept of "smart glasses (AR glasses) for everyday use" that SABERA aims to achieve.
2. Major Media Coverage During This Project Period
During this project period, we were featured and reported on by numerous media outlets, including various TV stations and major newspapers.
◾️ TV Stations: NHK / Fuji TV / TV Asahi / TBS / TV Tokyo / Fukui TV / Fukui Broadcasting, etc.
◾️ Major Newspapers: Fukui Shimbun / Nikkan Kenmin Fukui / Yomiuri Shimbun (Fukui Edition) / Chunichi Shimbun (9 Central Prefectures), etc.
3. Future Developments
We will incorporate feedback and requests received through Makuake into product development. Shipping will begin sequentially from the end of July 2026 as preparations are completed, with general sales scheduled to start around late August.
Regarding sales channels, in addition to our own e-commerce site, we will sequentially expand to eyewear stores, electronics retailers, and other e-commerce sites, creating an environment where more customers can experience and purchase SABERA.
We will also promote adoption in the corporate sector, including manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and theater support, and advance region-based initiatives such as adopting SABERA as a Furusato Nozei (hometown tax donation) return gift in collaboration with Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture.
In addition to the start of general sales, the Company will accelerate the widespread adoption of "AR glasses for everyday use" by expanding sales channels, promoting corporate adoption, and strengthening collaboration with domestic and international partners. We aim to realize a new communication experience where people and information are connected more naturally.
