The Japan Lifesaving Association (JLA), located in Minato Ward, Tokyo, with Representative Director Takuya Iritani, is pleased to announce that on Friday, July 3rd, starting at 6:00 PM, a live announcement of the Japanese representatives for the world's premier Lifesaving World Championships 2026 (hereinafter referred to as LWC2026), "Lifesaving Japan," will be held on the JLA's YouTube channel.

LWC2026 is the world championship for lifesaving, scheduled to take place from Friday, November 27th to Wednesday, December 9th, in Port Elizabeth, Republic of South Africa. A total of 24 athletes, including 12 open national team members and 12 youth national team members, selected through qualifying races within Japan, will participate.
