The Japan Lifesaving Association (JLA, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Takuya Iriya) and the Tokyo Lifesaving Association (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuhiko Sato) have received one SUBARU Lifesaver Car each from Tokyo Subaru Corporation (Head Office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuhiko Miyazawa). This year, they will continue the 'One Life Project' alongside the SUBARU Lifesaver Cars, aiming for 'Zero Water Accidents'.
Donation of Two Lifesaver Cars from Tokyo Subaru Corporation
The Japan Lifesaving Association and the Tokyo Lifesaving Association have once again received SUBARU Lifesaver Cars from Tokyo Subaru Corporation in 2026.
On July 2, 2026, a handover ceremony for the SUBARU Lifesaver Cars was held at Tokyo Subaru’s Hongō Store. On the same day, during the nationwide store managers’ meeting, presentations were made about JLA’s activities and the SUBARU Lifesaver Car initiative.
Prior to the handover, on June 28, Tokyo Subaru conducted CPR and AED training for its new employees. For the past four years, Tokyo Subaru has included this training as part of its onboarding program for new hires. This ensures that employees, once assigned to individual stores, can respond quickly and effectively in the event of cardiac arrest incidents at their locations.
What is the SUBARU Lifesaver Car?
The SUBARU Lifesaver Car is a vehicle provided by Subaru since 2020 to support lifeguards’ surveillance and rescue operations, inspired by JLA’s mission to achieve 'Zero Water Accidents'—a goal that resonates with Subaru’s own vision of 'Zero Fatal Traffic Accidents by 2030.' Now an official partner of JLA, Subaru implements this initiative as part of its 'One Life Project'.
Lifeguards work to prevent water-related accidents by managing environments where drowning can be avoided. The SUBARU Lifesaver Car features a highly visible design that clearly identifies active lifeguard operations. Its vehicle layout allows easy loading of various rescue equipment and tools used at water sites, making it an essential partner in surveillance, rescue, and water safety education activities.
Subaru Corporation is an Official Partner of the Japan Lifesaving Association
Subaru’s initiative to provide 'SUBARU Lifesaver Cars' as an 'Official Partner' of JLA marks its 7th year in 2026, with over 200 vehicles donated cumulatively.
Subaru’s commitment extends beyond vehicle donations. In collaboration with its dealership network*2, the company actively promotes life-saving initiatives. Dealerships nationwide co-host supporter training sessions with local lifesaving associations, led by JLA-certified instructors, to spread knowledge and skills in CPR and AED operation, expanding the scope of their activities.
