JLab Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the U.S.-based audio brand JLab—which achieved No. 1 sales in the U.S. for wireless and sports earphones under $100 in 2025—held the 'JLab Running Event in Futako-Tamagawa Tsutaya Kaden' on May 17, 2026. The event featured former Hakone Ekiden runner Junya Kamimura as a special instructor, who provided coaching on running form. Participants were given the opportunity to wear JLab sports earphones while running, experiencing the comfort of exercising with music. A post-event survey revealed a 100% satisfaction rate, marking the event a great success. On a beautiful spring day, 15 pre-registered runners gathered at the venue. After renting JLab sports earphones, they ran a 5km course along the riverbank while receiving professional advice. The most popular product among participants was the 'Flex,' an ear-cuff style earphone that does not block the ear canal. It fits securely on the ear cartilage, ensuring it does not fall off during intense movement, while allowing ambient sounds to be heard. Priced at 9,900 JPY (tax included), the product received positive feedback such as 'very comfortable with no pressure' and 'stays in place even during intense movement.' Instructor Junya Kamimura commented, 'The ear-cuff design is very stable and perfect for sports. I was impressed by the sound quality.'
