(President & CEO: Zhang Shiluo, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter “JMAM”) will host a free online seminar titled 'Redefining the Role of Managers in the Age of AI Coexistence – Roles and Actions Required of Section and Department Managers Based on Data' on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 14:00.

Cost: Free Registration Deadline: July 28, 2026 (Tuesday) 17:00

As the use of generative AI expands, businesses are increasingly interested in questions such as 'How will the roles expected of managers change?' and 'How should we rethink manager development?' While AI is increasingly supporting tasks such as information gathering, analysis, and preliminary advice, the importance of managerial skills involving interpersonal relationships—such as fostering team members’ sense of agreement through dialogue, supporting their growth, and setting organizational direction—is being re-emphasized.

This seminar will present survey data collected by JMAM on managerial roles, identifying current challenges faced by managers today. It will introduce the concept of 'positive managers'—those who proactively embrace their managerial responsibilities—and explore their characteristics. Furthermore, the seminar will explain the roles and actions required of section and department managers in an era of AI coexistence, as well as the organizational support necessary to enable them.

We encourage HR and talent development professionals to attend and gain valuable insights for shaping future managerial development strategies.
