Jimoty Inc., which operates the local information site "Jimoty," has signed a reuse agreement with Niyodogawa Town, Kochi Prefecture, to conduct reuse awareness activities aimed at reducing waste. Our company currently has agreements regarding reuse with 288 municipalities nationwide, working to achieve a sustainable society through reuse awareness and waste reduction.
Purpose of the Agreement In its General Waste Management Basic Plan, Niyodogawa Town has established basic policies such as "promotion of measures based on the 3Rs" and "promotion of information provision," and is carrying out various waste reduction activities. Although the total amount of waste has been decreasing annually due to population decline, the amount of bulky waste has been trending upward, which is a challenge. To further promote reuse, the town has decided to sign an agreement with our company.
Activities (as of March 26, 2026*) On the official website of Niyodogawa Town and in its public newsletter "Niyodogawa," we will raise awareness among residents of the option to "pass on rather than throw away," thereby suppressing waste generation by improving reuse consciousness. Furthermore, we will create an official Niyodogawa Town account within Jimoty to disseminate town information, including reuse, to more residents.
Our company will continue to strengthen the promotion of reuse in collaboration with municipalities, aiming for the realization of a sustainable society. We look forward to inquiries from municipalities across the country that are motivated to reduce waste and promote reuse.
*The content of the awareness activities is subject to change.
