JOYCLE, Inc., a company engaged in building resource circulation infrastructure, announced that it has been selected as one of the winners of the 'Toyota Woven City Challenge,' an accelerator program operated by Woven by Toyota, Inc.

JOYCLE plans to conduct a validation trial of its decentralized resource circulation infrastructure for up to 18 months as an 'Inventor' at 'Toyota Woven City,' a mobility test course being developed by Toyota Motor Corporation and Woven by Toyota in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The company will utilize its proprietary small-scale pyrolysis device, 'JOYCLE BOX,' for this project.

'Toyota Woven City Challenge' is an accelerator program designed to validate future mobility toward the 'mass production of happiness' advocated by Woven by Toyota and Toyota. Winners were selected following a final pitch competition among approximately 200 applicants.

JOYCLE's proposal, titled 'Sustainable Woven, Sustainable Life,' focuses on a self-contained resource circulation system within the city. Addressing the issues inherent in current centralized waste management models—'collection → transportation → incineration → landfill'—JOYCLE aims to achieve sustainable resource management by combining on-site processing using decentralized 'JOYCLE BOX' units with management via its data visualization system, 'JOYCLE BOARD.' Through this validation, the company will assess technical feasibility, social acceptance, and economic viability, building a foundation for future domestic and international expansion.
