TOTO Ltd. (Headquarters: Kitakyushu, Fukuoka; President: Shinya Tamura) announced a model change for its highly acclaimed 'GG-800' integrated washlet toilet and the 'GG' series for condo remodeling (wall-drainage type). The new models, featuring an instantaneous heating system, will be released on August 3, 2026. This launch completes the transition of all residential washlets to instantaneous heating.

TOTO is committed to reducing CO2 emissions to realize a sustainable, carbon-neutral society by 2050. The environmental contribution from this transition corresponds to 260,000 tons of the 3.6 million tons in CO2 reduction target for 2026 set under the 'WILL2030 Social and Environmental Value Indicators,' contributing to achieving the 1.5°C goal certified by the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative.

Previously, washlets used a 'tank-based heating' system, storing warm water in a built-in tank for bidet and cleansing functions. The new models utilize an 'instantaneous heating' system, which heats water on demand to the appropriate temperature. This eliminates the risk of running out of warm water and offers greater comfort. Furthermore, it removes the need for standby power to keep water warm, reducing energy consumption compared to traditional tank-based models. With a reduced small-flush volume of 3.4 liters, these toilets achieve excellent energy-saving and water-saving performance.

TOTO designates these and other products that balance hygiene, comfort, health, and environmental care as 'Sustainable Products,' aiming to contribute to a prosperous and comfortable society that respects the global environment.
