JPF Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shuntaro Watanabe) conducted an outreach class at an elementary school in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, on June 22, 2026, as part of its regional revitalization initiatives.
On this day, three employees—Kisato Nakamura (Nakamura Kisato), a former Japanese national cycling team member now working at the company, along with Yumeno Ishigami and Shito Shirao—served as instructors, engaging with children on the theme of 'Our Ways of Working.'

This initiative aims to provide children with opportunities to think about future careers and the importance of striving toward dreams and goals.
[Bringing 'Work' Closer to Children]
JPF values its connection with the local community and continuously conducts outreach classes for elementary and junior high schools to support children's learning and growth.
During this session, the three instructors introduced their respective job roles, work styles, reasons for choosing their current careers, and what they value in their work.
They also shared their personal experiences, discussing the fulfillment they feel in their daily tasks and their thoughts on work.
Nakamura raised questions about life after retiring from sports and beyond an athletic career, introducing the concept of being an 'athlete employee' based on her own competitive experience. She emphasized how skills developed through sports remain valuable in society and the importance of continuously challenging oneself toward new goals.
Ishigami explained JPF's business operations, including event management and cycling promotion and development programs, highlighting the appeal of careers that support sports. Using examples of sports familiar to elementary students, she illustrated how sports industries rely on the involvement of many people.
Shirao described the process of planning and executing event projects, explaining the excitement of turning ideas into reality. He shared the extensive preparation and creative efforts made to ensure participants enjoy the events.
Each instructor conveyed the appeal and fulfillment of work from their unique perspectives.
[Interaction Through Quizzes and Q&A]
A quiz segment was also included during the class, with children actively raising their hands to participate. The classroom was filled with smiles, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere throughout. During the Q&A session, in addition to questions about work, many inquiries were made about cycling sports and racing bicycles. Children showed great interest in the rarely seen racing bikes, asking questions such as 'Why don’t they have brakes?' and 'How much do they weigh?'
Through interactions with the employees, the children not only deepened their understanding of work but also showed increased interest in sports and the spirit of challenge.
[Cultivating the Future Together with the Community]
In addition to operating public racing venues and promoting sports, JPF conducts various activities that emphasize strong ties with local communities. The outreach class is one such initiative. By having employees visit schools and share their work and experiences, JPF aims to inspire children to think about their futures and the meaning of work.
Moving forward, JPF will continue collaborating with local schools and municipalities to create opportunities that convey the joy of working and the spirit of challenge, contributing to the development of local communities.
