NEC Corporation has been awarded the highest rating in the 2025 Supplier Engagement Rating by CDP, an international environmental non-profit organization, and has been selected as a 'Supplier Engagement Leader' for the sixth consecutive year.

This recognition is a result of a comprehensive evaluation of NEC's climate change initiatives, governance, target setting, greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions within the supply chain, and engagement with its suppliers.

Furthermore, NEC has also been named to CDP's prestigious 'A List' for both 'Climate Change' and 'Water Security' categories for seven consecutive years.

Under its 'NEC 2030VISION,' which aims to 'Live harmoniously with the earth to secure the future,' NEC is addressing environmental challenges such as climate change and natural capital through its 2030 Mid-term Management Plan.

As part of its internal 'Client Zero' practice, NEC is promoting the enhancement of information disclosure using AI in anticipation of SSBJ (Sustainability Standards Board of Japan) requirements and is developing Agentic AI to assist in creating TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) reports. Additionally, the company is leveraging its 'Supplier Portal' to visualize environmental data across the entire supply chain and strengthen supplier engagement.

NEC will continue to contribute to solving environmental issues, including climate change, water security, and natural capital, by utilizing highly reliable digital technologies and ICT, while striving to achieve sustainable growth for both corporations and society.
