Tennoji Mio's "Himitsukichi" Adult Summer Research Project

JR West SC Development Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Kita Ward, Umeda; President: Yasushi Takenaka) will hold its seventh major event for Gen Z, "Himitsukichi meet up 2026 – vol.7– 'Adult' Summer Research ~Don't You Forget That Childhood Curiosity?~", on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, 2026. This event is organized by "Himitsukichi," a project launched and operated by Gen Z employees of the large-scale shopping center "Tennoji Mio," which is managed by JR West SC Development.

▶ Project Overview

Under the concept of "a place where Gen Z can gather and connect with peace of mind," Himitsukichi has been building communities through both real-world and online interactions. This event offers an experience that blends nostalgia and novelty, themed around "research projects that adults can truly immerse themselves in," reminiscent of summer homework from our school days.

《Research Project Workshops》

In this event, we will hold two types of workshops based on the theme of summer homework research projects: "Original Charm Creation" using resin clay, which many of us played with as children, and "Bath Bomb Making," an enjoyable experience for both sight and smell. In the "Original Charm Creation" workshop, participants will create their own unique charms using clay, a material everyone has played with at least once. In the "Bath Bomb Making" workshop, participants can create original bath bombs that bloom with flower petals when dissolved in hot water, perfect for social media. Through an experience where you can lose track of time and immerse yourself, we aim to evoke the excitement of childhood and allow for the free expression that only adults can enjoy.

《Interaction with Peers》

This event will feature talk time where participants of the same generation can naturally converse and connect. While enjoying special snacks from Tennoji Mio, carefully selected by Tennoji Mio employees, participants can freely share recent updates, hobbies, and concerns. The content is designed to help even first-time acquaintances break the ice naturally, so individuals who are shy or attending alone, regardless of gender or occupation, can participate with confidence. We will provide a special summer moment where all participants can feel they had a wonderful time!

"Himitsukichi," which fosters online connections for Gen Z, is a community site that disseminates the latest event information and allows Gen Z to exchange information and connect. It also features surveys to gather Gen Z's real voices and a research corner where participants can work on a theme together. It provides another safe space for Gen Z.
