JR Omiya Station 'ecute Omiya/Omiya North' to Hold SDGs Fair 'Tsunagu Mirai': Delicious Ways to Reduce Waste and Promote Local Consumption

JR East Cross Station will host the 3rd SDGs Fair, 'Tsunagu Mirai', at ecute Omiya and Omiya North from May 25 to June 14. Timed with World Environment Day, the event evolves from simply 'knowing' to 'experiencing' SDGs with customers. It features 22 items, including products made from upcycled ingredients like butter by-products combined with Saitama's 'Amarin' strawberries, and baked goods using overripe peaches that are difficult to transport. The fair also promotes local consumption with dishes using Fukaya green onions and Saitama seasonings, alongside a workshop for making dried flower swags from flowers that would otherwise be discarded.
