JR East Cross Station Development Company will reopen a section of the 'Gransta Tokyo' station-integrated commercial facility in mid-September.
The 'Marunouchi-zaka Area,' which closed in January 2026 for renovations, will be reborn in mid-September as the 'Underground Marunouchi Ticket Gate Area.' It will feature 26 shops, including 10 new brands and 11 revamped/rebranded popular existing shops (with 12 exclusive to Tokyo Station). Centered on the 'FAV ZAKA' (Favorite MARUNOUCHIZAKA) concept, the area mixes food and lifestyle goods, enhancing customer flow through four dedicated zones to create a space more convenient for daily use.
The space design theme is 'Designing the Region,' returning to the origins of Edo-period Marunouchi. Inspired by the 'Kamiyashiki' (upper mansion) that symbolized the area, the design reinterprets history and tradition, creating a space with depth and narrative.
Facility Overview: - Name: Gransta Tokyo Underground Marunouchi Ticket Gate Area - Scheduled Opening: Mid-September 2026 - Area: Approx. 1,080㎡ - Number of Shops: 26
