Overview

The Kanagawa Prefecture Branch of the Japanese Red Cross Society is hosting a residential training program, the "Youth Red Cross Leadership Training Center (LTC)," for elementary, junior high, and high school students this August.

The training aims to cultivate leaders capable of taking initiative in schools and local communities by developing the skills to "Notice, Think, and Act." The curriculum includes practical learning in first aid, international understanding, and social welfare, fostered through collaborative activities among participants. The program is operated by local teachers who reside at the camp alongside the students, working in conjunction with Japanese Red Cross staff.
