Restructuring of JR East Group Businesses

〇 JR East Group is working to enhance the group's comprehensive capabilities in local communities to achieve the vision of 'Bringing vitality to regions and enriching Japan' outlined in its group management vision 'Yusho 2034'.

〇 The group has decided to merge Sendai Terminal Building Co., Ltd. and JR East Tohoku General Service Co., Ltd. effective April 1, 2027, aiming to rebuild its business foundation in the Tohoku region and accelerate its growth strategy.

〇 Through this restructuring, the integration of both companies' functions and resources will promote cross-domain value creation across stations, surrounding areas, and urban development, enhancing the appeal of stations such as Sendai Station and improving local lifestyles along the railway lines.

〇 Furthermore, the new company, together with other JR East Group companies based in Tohoku, will work as one to strengthen the creation of mobility flows into the Tohoku region by developing attractive destinations, thereby achieving sustainable regional growth and revitalization.
