Following the suspension of services on the Hisatsu Line between Yoshimatsu and Hayato stations since August 7, 2025, due to the "August 2025 Heavy Rain," we are pleased to announce that recovery work is nearing completion and a reopening date has been set. We will continue to proceed with restoration efforts at full capacity.
1. Reopening Section and Date - Section: Hisatsu Line (Yoshimatsu Station – Hayato Station) - Distance: 37.4 km - Reopening Date: June 28, 2026 (Sunday), starting with the first train.
2. Status of Restoration Work Restoration progress as of May 25, 2026, indicates that work is proceeding as planned toward the June reopening.
3. Discontinuation of Substitute Transportation The current substitute bus service will conclude its operations on June 26, 2026 (Friday).
4. Post-Resumption Timetable The arrival/departure times and number of trains between Yoshimatsu and Hayato stations will remain unchanged from the pre-disaster schedule. However, certain trains will have their routes extended between Kokubu and Hayato stations.
*Note: The section between Yatsushiro Station and Yoshimatsu Station remains closed due to damage from the July 2020 heavy rains.
