Information on the Hakata Station Entry of the Seventh Yamakasa Float of the East Stream in Hakata Gion Yamakasa

The "Tanagaregaki" (carrying to another stream's area), one of the events of the traditional Hakata Gion Yamakasa, will be held on Saturday, July 11, and the Yamakasa float of the East Stream's Seventh Yamakasa will be carried into Hakata Station.

On the day, the stationmaster of Hakata Station will receive a courtesy call from several hundred carriers, and the Hakata Celebration Song and Hakata Te-ippon (a traditional congratulatory gesture) are scheduled to be performed. Please come and watch.

*Tanagaregaki... "Nagaregaki" is an event where the float is carried to showcase it within one's own stream's area, while "Tanagaregaki" involves carrying the float outside of one's own stream's area into another stream's area.
